Smart Boot Manager

I finally was able to get Puppy Linux running on an old Compaq 5050 with a 7 Gig HD and 333 mhz Celeron processor by putting the Puppy image on the hard disk and putting a floppy with the Smart Boot Manager on it in the floppy drive. After selecting a couple options in the boot manager Puppy loaded up in about a second! It was fantastic!

I'm a total newbie with any form of Linux so I'm trying to get my bearings but it is so cool already. Even though the machine has a slow processor all the windows and applications launch so quickly that it is funny! Totally neat.
