Packard Bell Multimedia E153

I started up Rose's old computer to see if it still worked. It has Windows 98 SE, & a 150 mhz Pentium precessor. Neither the CD ROM nor the floppy drive work. Put an old HP NIC into an ISA (?) slot but since the CD ROM doesn't work couldn't get drivers off my Win 98 CD; so couldn't get the NIC working and so couldn't get on the 'net to get drivers --- also couldn't transfer through a floppy disk. Maybe I can connect to another Windows machine with 'direct cable connection'.
