Like Squaresville, Man

On the way to Poulsbo this morning, I saw a State Trooper parked behind the guard rail by Big Scandia Creek on the south bound lanes of SR 3. This is only the third time I've noticed them there. This one was in a dark maroon unmarked car that looked like a Dodge Intrepid, 'course I only had a second to see it.
Had an annoying cold last few days. Slightly congested today but I think it's about over. Work has been horrible. Too much to do, no breaks.
A new worker started a few days ago, Mr Osgood. Odd affect. Chip on shoulder. Nice fellow, sense of humor, prickly about certain things. Won't go into it. Would give too much away.

Made the usual spaghetti dinner tonight and R & A and I watch Dan Rather newscast which I had recorded earlier. Dinner was late, partly because Ant was on Game Colony dot com playing chess and I was giving the best off-the-cuff tactical advice I could manage. He won his first game ever on the site against a ~1600 rated player. It got down to Ant's king and queen against a solitary king. For some reason he didn't get any rating points for winning. When he resigned the next game, heart not really in it, boy, then they took away points!
After dinner we watched a Kevin Kline movie about a prep school teacher. "The Emperor's Club," wasn't horrible like "Dead Poets Society," it was so so. I've seen worse movies. Story line was a bit predictable.

Got an Ezonics Webcam II at St Vinnies for $4.95. Had it working with Video Capture for a minute then it said there was no device. It works with Netmeeting. The thing somehow is tied to DOS so not sure if it will work with Anty's XP pc.
