Like Squaresville, Man

I walked over to the thrift store this afternoon. It was sunny and warm out. A walk through the neighborhood was like a day at the beach. At first I thought a fellow down the street was using a chain saw. Actually it was just an old man cleaning up the yard of his for-sale house with a leaf blower. I know chain saws and days at the beach don't go together, but the sound wasn't really disturbing at all.
I bought two books at the store: Essential English Grammar, by Philip Gucker and Storming Heaven, by Jay Stevens. As for the grammar book, it may not help me much but it couldn't hurt.
