Up the Plum Tree
I clambered up the plum tree tonight. I had already managed to consume four slices of pumpkin pie. Still the evening would not be complete until I had savored the nectar of numerous apri-lums. I'm not sure whether they are plums or apricots, or how to tell the difference.
I was sitting squarely on a branch about the circumference of two baseball bats, my legs dangleing, my feet kicking back and forth to keep my balance, reaching for the glowing fruits in the after-sunset light. The yellow plums loomed in masses all about, I wished I could stay climbing only eight feet above the ground but I had to gather the bounty and move on before officials might object, as they object to everything that they don't explicitly require.

Keeping Mouth Shut
Trying and succeeding to keep my mouth shut at work. It seems to be going more smoothly. After being threatened with being fired on July 8 because of my erratic behavior I have toned it down to the nth degree. My problem is that I tend to forget after a while and relapse into not being as careful as I should be. God forbid I should be fired because I'm not fit to survive in the real world. I am running out of second chances.
