Spaghetti

It was spaghetti for dinner tonight. Spaghettini, actually, cooked for seven minutes then swished in butter with a twist of pepper. A dollop of tomato sauce, ground beef, and mozzarella are added to make a large serving, a meal.
Rain and Ant shared dinner with me, which was nice. It was The Simpsons on the tv set. The cat had been carefully shooed away and that was that.
After dinner, very sleepy.

All I have to do is grind through work today and then I have tomorrow off.
What I have not figured out is how to get a measure of economic leverage. At the rate I'm going I'll be $6400 deeper in debt in 32 months.

Mac & Cheese

Made macaroni and cheese for dinner tonight. It was a bit bland. Could have put some nutmeg in it but forgot to. It was ok with ketchup and Tobasco sauce on it. The best mac & cheese is made with a combination of Gruyere and Swiss cheeses.
It was cloudy and humid today and not too cool. There were a few sprinkles but it didn't really rain. The TV weather man promised downpours, maybe that will happen in the next twelve hours.

Deep Fried Pork Rinds

Ramen noodles and tuna for late dinner. N.D. gave me the leftovers of a package of pork rinds at work of which I shouldn't have eaten, but did. So didn't know if I was hungry to eat dinner or just queasy.

138, Noon

It is warm and mild outside. No one has harrassed me at all so far today!

140, again

I said some little thing to this housekeeper lady in a joking way and she really took offense. It's made worse because her English as a second language isn't so great to begin with.
I ran into later and she told me, "Don't ever talk to me that way again." Well OK madam I-don't-have-any-trace-of-a-sense-of-humor. It wasn't as though I really wanted to talk to you at all, forget it.

I came in from break and Cele, Ag, Nat, and Virge were all sitting there by the door to the dining room. They asked me the directions to the union hall, which I gave (as I have done a hundred times without any prospect of the recipient ever actually going to the union hall). Then I proceeded to tell them that I know that the vote is going to be no and the union will go away and I hope they're damn well happy.
Despite my dire predictions, I also took the opportunity, in the face of their skepticism, to give yet another union yes pitch. Well, I think it will all be moot after this Tuesday.

It's nice and warm tonight. Fairly well found out today that our union is going to get the boot. The ninnies at work want to get something for nothing. The idea of paying a lousy $24 a month in dues scares the holy shit out of them. Well they deserve the lousy pay and working conditions they're gonna get for having no faith and no courage.

May 13

I have the heater on low. It's a Presto "HeatDish" that I got at Costco last year. I'm going to watch the America's Tribal Council episode of Survivor on vhs tape now.
